What you submit
You give ResumeBucks a resume and a job description as text. If you upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file, your browser extracts the text and the file itself is not uploaded.
Where your text goes
- When you press Map my evidence, the resume and job description are sent to our server. The server does not store them itself.
- The server places them in a processing queue that we operate. A computer we run takes the request from the queue and sends the text to OpenAI through the Codex CLI to produce the map.
- The result comes back through the same queue and is shown to you.
What we keep
The processing queue keeps a record of each request. The record contains the text you submitted and the result. There is currently no retention period and no automatic deletion. Deleting the maps saved in your browser does not remove these records.
What stays in your browser
Finished maps and the last resume you submitted are saved in your browser's local storage so you can reopen them. They are never sent anywhere else. You can delete one map or all saved data from the home page, or clear your browser's site data.
Analytics and rate limiting
- We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and events such as a map being started, completed, or exported. The events carry counts and timings, not the text of your resume or job description.
- Your IP address is used to limit how many requests can be made per minute.
Accounts and payments
ResumeBucks has no accounts and takes no payments, so we hold no account or payment details.
